Supplements: Which brands are Doctor Recommended?

Hello, everyone, welcome back to The Supplement MD blog! This post aims to show you some of the top brands of supplements that are truly "Doctor Recommended".

Let's start with Thorne. In my book, they are top of the food chain. I use the Omega-3 with CoQ10 as listed here along with DIM hormone support and others. They present as one of the most stringent in the testing and manufacturing of their supplements. Why is this important? Go back to my first blog about all supplements not being created equally. Thorne produces most of their supplements in house in South Carolina.

They quarantine all of the components of the supplements until they test the purity, potency, and most importantly the identity of the ingredient. They do four rounds of testing on all supplements with the component testing first. Then the supplement is tested during processing, upon completion, and finally they test the stability of the finished product. Thorne is committed to high quality, safe, clean, and stable supplements. Thorne avoids unnecessary fillers or components in all of their products. All of this is why the majority of the supplements in my home cabinet wear their label.

Next, I would discuss DaVinci Laboratories. The ADK products are the base of all my supplementation and recommendations. Their line is doctor formulated, and again avoids unnecessary fillers or ingredients. They choose hypoallergenic sources, and stand by the potency and purity of all of their ingredients. DaVinci uses third party researchers to validate and test all of their supplements to further show the high quality of the supplements sold to the public. They have longevity producing supplements with truth in labelling, transparency for 45 years or more.

Third on my list is Life Extension supplements. Much of the same strict guidelines, truth in labelling as the above two on display with this brand as well. The thing I like the most about Life Extension is they are pushing forward on anti-aging research to bring high quality supplements that can assist you into healthy aging along with a good diet and lifestyle. Some of the anti-aging supplements along with their nootropic for concentration and brain health are in my cabinet right now and a part of my daily supplement intake. I have added the link here.

This list is not all encompassing, but definitely the short list of who I trust, recommend, and certainly take supplements from on a daily basis. I hope this is helpful and will stimulate you to research on your own the supplements you are choosing to ingest. However, if you want access to these supplements and more doctor recommended supplements, sign up here with The Supplement MD.
